en بهداشت حرفه ای Occupational Health پژوهشي Original Article <div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="background:white"><span style="line-height:150%"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif"><strong><span style="color:#0f1115">Background and Purpose:</span></strong><span style="color:#0f1115">&nbsp;Considering the high prevalence of sleep disorders among people with disabilities and the significant impact of sleep on health, quality of life, and work performance, this study aimed to explore the experiences of people with disabilities regarding the components affecting their sleep quality.</span></span></span></span></span><br> <span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="background:white"><span style="line-height:150%"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif"><strong><span style="color:#0f1115">Materials and Methods:</span></strong><span style="color:#0f1115">&nbsp;This qualitative study, conducted in 2024, used conventional content analysis to explore the experiences of 18 male individuals with disabilities (physical, intellectual, and psychosocial impairments) attending vocational rehabilitation settings in Malayer and Nahavand, Iran. Purposeful sampling was employed. Data were collected via semi-structured interviews and a demographic questionnaire. Interviews were transcribed and analyzed using Elo and Kyng&auml;s&rsquo; conventional content analysis method. Data management and coding were performed using MAXQDA 2022.</span></span></span></span></span><br> <span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="background:white"><span style="line-height:150%"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif"><strong><span style="color:#0f1115">Results:</span></strong><span style="color:#0f1115">&nbsp;Participants were 18 males with physical, intellectual, sensory, and psychosocial impairments. Data analysis yielded 87 open codes, 21 subcategories, and 8 categories, organized into two main domains: personal factors (physical condition, psychological state, knowledge and competence) and environmental factors (physical sleep environment, social environment, economic environment, occupational environment, daily life and family).</span></span></span></span></span><br> <b><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif"><span style="color:#0f1115">Conclusion: </span></span></span></b><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif"><span style="color:#0f1115">This qualitative study revealed that sleep quality among individuals with disabilities in vocational rehabilitation settings is shaped by a complex interplay of personal and environmental factors. Pain, emotional distress, inadequate sleep facilities, and chronic financial strain negatively affect sleep, while vocational competence, supportive social interactions, and structured daily routines enhance it.
